a bizarre incident took place at west brompton on 27 jan 2003, as 319011 made its usual stop working
the 12.13 watford junction to brighton: the rear current collector shoe stopped at a gap in the third rail,
which would not normally cause a problem, except that the front shoe had been knocked off on the train's
previous working into watford and so the train had no power - rescue came 90 minutes later in the form of
319002 working the next, late running, watford to brighton service, and after coupling on at the rear both
units left ecs towards clapham junction       (ref: ue319011_270103)
